New Life

Our new life has begun. This week J started going to day care. The first day we were only there for 1,5 hour; J was a bit confused and hesitant but also curious about all the new people and other kids and new routines. Wednesday we were there for a bit longer and she didn't even notice when I left and sat in a different room talking to one of the other parents.
Then yesterday I left her by herself for about 2 hours and that went fine. When I came back we had lunch together with the other kids.

And this morning, the first vulcano erupted! Don't know what happened but she cried and screamed for about half an hour. In the end I had to put her clothes on while she was kicking and screaming. She has a lot to process, with all the changes going on, but it's really trying for me as a parent. That's why I'm so glad my dear beloved will be doing most of the morning routine in the future :)

To sum it up, J really likes it. She seems to love being around all the other kids and playing and swinging all day. And she is one of the loudest kids in the playground! One of the teathers commented on that saying: " well, at least we know of her whereabouts."

So today I dropped her of and she'll be there for lunch and nap-time. I will go back and be there when she wakes up. I hope next week will go as smoothly so I can enjoy a few last days of vacation before work starts on Thursday 20th.
